Just like in any other places, there are various eatery types that you could choose to open. It can range from stall type business by the road side, a small 'gerai' (stall) at a complex run by the local authorities, a small proper restaurant in a commercial area to a fine dining restaurant with state of the art kitchen and luxury interior decor. It is all up to you.
In my case I choose to open a single menu restaurant in a growing city of Putrajaya. So once you have a rough idea of the kind of restaurant that you want to open, you can move on to the next phase. Which is ...to incorporate a company....why you need a company to do this?

What you want to do?
To be honest, I started my restaurant business by chance. One day, I went driving south of Kuala Lumpur and stopped at a restaurant in a town called Jasin Malacca where I met this 'old' man who happened to be the owner of a famous chicken rice restaurant in Gemas, Negeri Sembilan. The rest is history.
So what business that you want to do? If your answer is restaurant business, then I have more to share with you. Well, I started my career in a private organisation upon graduating in Business (Finance) from an Australian university. Later I pursued my MBA which really quantum leaped my career advancement. But after a while, I felt I need more than just money and position. Often, the most difficult part is to find what to do. Of course your MBA thought you to scan your environment and find niche, but most of the time, that only applies to big corporation with 'unlimited' financing capabilities. Hey, I have this 'winning product' but with very limited capital so how am I going to start my business? Can I survive the demands of working capital requirement especially in the first 6 months of operation? Can I attract many customers with very little of no money at all to spend on advertising? How will my competitors react to my restaurant once it opens its door? Can I even get a space for my restaurant?
So first answer the very basic question, what is it that you want to do?
